LPNs bear the duties of administering basic patient care, such as monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications as prescribed and collecting patient samples for laboratory tests:

• Supporting certified nursing assistants in administering activities of daily living and routine care.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Ensuring the proper distribution of medication as directed by the healthcare provider and Plan of Care.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Precisely capturing and documenting all necessary data.
• Administering medications via injections according to doctor's orders.
• Monitoring the physical well-being of residents and relaying their status to medical professionals, comprising RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians.
• Recording essential physical measurements, such as blood pressure, body temperature, and body weight.
• Administering fundamental healthcare, involving disinfecting injuries and wrapping them in dressings.
• Administering IV medications and starting IV drips requires proper management skills.
• Keeping a close eye on the amount of fluids and food that a person consumes, as well as the amount that they excrete, is an important part of maintaining good health.
• Monitoring and documenting injuries, occurrences, and the indication of skin deterioration in residents.
• Supporting the activities involved in the admission procedure as instructed.
