Nursing Care Coordinators may also help in maintaining a sterile and safe environment for patients and assist with maintaining medical equipment, such as monitoring and cleaning equipment:

• Assisting CNAs with the performance of daily tasks that involve activities of daily living and routine healthcare procedures.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Efficiently and effectively delivering medication to promote positive health outcomes for the patient.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Ensuring accurate documentation of all necessary information.
• Administering medications via injections according to doctor's orders.
• Assessing the health situation of residents and updating medical professionals, including RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians, about their current condition.
• Recording essential physical measurements, such as blood pressure, body temperature, and body weight.
• Offering basic medical attention, which includes wound cleansing and the wrapping of injuries with dressings.
• Administering IV medications and starting IV drips requires proper management skills.
• Monitoring fluid and food intake and output is a simple way to help keep the body healthy and to ensure that electrolyte and nutrient imbalances are detected and treated early.
• Monitoring and documenting injuries, occurrences, and the indication of skin deterioration in residents.
• Contributing to the admissions process through cooperation and following instructions.
