Accredited Nursing Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Provide mobility assistance, including transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs and assisting with walking.
• Assist with feeding residents who require help and ensure proper hydration and nutrition.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following infection control protocols.
• Support residents in participating in recreational activities and social engagements.
• Document care provided in resident records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and requests for assistance.
• Assist in maintaining resident confidentiality and dignity at all times.

Accredited Nursing Assistant Requirements:

• Accredited Nursing Assistant certification in good standing with the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster collaboration.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation.
